What We Think
For a book centered on race relations, 'Black Like Me' comes across as earnest rather than agenda-driven. Its focus is a direct response to injustice but doesn't reach the fever-pitch of modern woke narratives. It’s much more classic civil rights journalism than 2020s-style activism.
