What We Think

Catching Jordan puts a non-traditional female lead at the center of a sports narrative. It’s got a definite woke flavor in its challenge to traditional gender roles and its focus on barriers, but it’s not as aggressively ideological as many recent releases. Not a total monoculture, but definitely more message-driven than old-school sports fiction.
