What We Think

Magical Thinking is more sardonic memoir than woketopia. While there’s teasing of traditional norms and some irreverence toward cultural foundations, it’s not a heavy-handed ideological lecture. If anything, the book’s biggest crime is making light of everything, including itself, rather than shoving an agenda down the reader’s throat.
