What We Think

“Traveling Mercies” is Anne Lamott’s offbeat faith memoir, blending non-traditional Christianity with her personal journey. While it certainly leans progressive and sometimes pokes at more traditional religious norms, it’s less ‘woke manifesto’ and more personal, irreverent tale. Non-woke readers may roll their eyes, but it falls short of today’s full-throttle woke lit.
