The film focuses largely on a science-driven mystery and character introspection, rather than ticking identity boxes. Characters are defined more by their narrative roles and choices rather than by identity features. There doesn’t seem to be a heavy-handed ideological overlay overwhelming the core story, allowing for a fairly traditional narrative experience.

'96 Souls' doesn’t seem interested in deconstructing tradition just for the sake of it. Family, faith, and traditional morality aren’t mocked or systematically undermined. The storyline centers around personal growth and self-discovery rather than subverting cultural pillars, so it keeps the cultural revisionism to a minimum.

There is diversity in the supporting cast, but it’s understated and doesn’t come across as the main event. The narrative doesn’t go out of its way to villainize traditional or alternative viewpoints. It’s more concerned with its unique sci-fi hook, allowing space for multiple perspectives , at least more than your average Hollywood lecture fest.
