What We Think

‘April and the Extraordinary World’ dodges nearly all the expected “woke” pitfalls of modern animation. It tells its story without sacrificing narrative for an agenda, upholding traditional adventure themes and avoiding heavy-handed messaging. A rare, almost refreshingly non-woke outing.
