What We Think

"Dead of Night" (1945) is about as non-woke as a film can get. Its storytelling is classic, its cultural grounding is traditional, and ideological monoculture is nowhere to be found. If you crave a break from modern-day Hollywood preaching, this is a breath of fresh post-war air.
