What We Think

While Fear Street: 1978 isn't the wokest thing out there, it bends the knee to modern identity politics and ideological uniformity enough to feel out of step with its setting. There are some sparks of genuine horror storytelling, but overall, it's a mostly safe, modern, mainstream affair.
