"Good on Paper" sticks to a fairly traditional romantic comedy structure. Casting choices and main character arcs seem rooted in merit and entertaining storytelling rather than ideology. There is some focus on female empowerment and self-discovery, but it doesn't hijack the plot or undermine narrative logic, making it relatively restrained for a modern rom-com.
