What We Think
Khartoum is about as far from woke as you can get. It’s an old-school, historically driven epic that resists all the usual trends, no identity politics, no gender subversion, no progressive monoculture. It’s a product of its time, for better or worse, although modern viewers might find its approach almost refreshingly non-woke.
