What We Think

Mulan II contains some early signs of Disney’s shift towards more modern, empowered messages for female leads, but still retains its respect for tradition, family, and authentic character struggles. It’s nowhere near the peak of the “woke wave,” but it gives viewers a taste of what’s to come.
