The film centers almost entirely on a gay romance and places substantial emphasis on sexuality as a core element of character identity. While heartfelt, in our view, this focus occasionally comes at the expense of broader character depth or diverse themes, making the story feel tailored to affirm modern identity politics over organic narrative development.

Traditional themes like marriage, family, and even religion are reframed through a progressive lens, and conventional relationship structures are largely replaced by modern reinterpretations. The film can be seen as intentionally highlighting LGBTQ+ perspectives while rendering older norms as outdated or secondary.

There’s little room for dissenting or more traditional viewpoints, characters largely share the same progressive outlook and any alternative perspectives are noticeably absent. This can give the impression of a moral monoculture embedded in the plot.
