What We Think

For a modern film, ‘The Body’ is relatively restrained on the woke spectrum. The story comes first, there’s authentic wrestling with tradition, and it avoids heavy-handed messaging or one-note portrayals of worldview conflicts. This is about as non-woke as a post-2000s Hollywood release gets.
