What We Think
The Brutalist is less ‘woke’ than many recent films, focusing on classic immigrant themes and artistic struggle without heavy-handed ideological messaging. Still, it wears a modern sensibility and never really champions traditional norms, settling for a safe, middle-of-the-road presentation rather than a bold or unapologetically non-woke stance.
