The Doorman features a female protagonist cast in the traditionally masculine action-hero role. While this isn't inherently a problem, the film leans into her competence to a degree that feels shoehorned, somewhat sacrificing believability. The story’s reliance on her identity as a strong woman borders on heavy-handed, occasionally coming before character depth or development. Still, it's not quite at the level of overt soapboxing found in more aggressively woke films.

Traditional masculinity is somewhat pushed aside, with the former soldier heroine vastly outshining her male counterparts in both physicality and leadership. However, the film does not spend much time outright mocking family or religion. The focus is more on empowerment than on tearing down cultural traditions, so it’s not egregiously over the line, but it’s definitely present.

Alternative viewpoints aren't grossly villainized, but there’s definitely an air of ideological uniformity: the strong, independent protagonist is distinctly celebrated without much discussion or challenge from other perspectives. Traditional roles or dissenting worldviews are basically absent, but the film mostly avoids cartoonish caricatures of such.
