The Mortuary Collection is a horror anthology with some modern sensibilities but largely sticks to classic genre storytelling. While it includes a strong female character and flips some gender expectations, it doesn't force identity-driven casting or overemphasize diversity at the expense of story, though the twist in the final segment does lean into "believe all women" tropes.
