What We Think
"The Ring" is a prime example of early 2000s Hollywood horror, focused on scares, not on ideological posturing. There's virtually no forced representation or cultural revisionism, and its priorities are narrative and atmosphere rather than modern activism. Consider this one of the least woke films of its era.
