'Theorem' largely maintains narrative integrity; its characters are defined more by existential crisis than checkboxes of identity or ideology. Casting and character arcs aren't based on modern notions of representation but rather on philosophical intent. The film’s driving focus is on individual and collective transformation, not ticking off diversity benchmarks.

The film does subvert some traditional cultural tenets, especially those related to family, religion, and sexuality. Pasolini’s examination of upper-class values and sacredness isn't overtly hostile, but it definitely puts conventional morality through the wringer, which could be seen as undermining traditional cultural foundations.

While ‘Theorem’ challenges societal and religious norms, it doesn’t simply replace one ideology with another. Alternative perspectives do exist, largely through the reactions of individual family members, though the film’s worldview leans toward a radical critique of traditionalism, making plurality limited, but not absent.
