What We Think

Transformers: The Last Knight is about as woke as a sleeping Autobot. While there’s some surface-level modern casting, the movie sticks to traditional tropes and doesn’t bother lecturing the audience. It’s mostly popcorn spectacle without ideological sidequests.

There’s no overt mocking of traditional views or aggressive uniformity of modern ideology. In fact, it’s a messy action film with little time for political statements of any stripe. It’s more interested in giant robots than ideological sermons.
