Archive 81 focuses more on supernatural mystery than identity politics. Characters are written with depth and story fits their roles without obvious emphasis on forced representation or flawless archetypes. Some identity diversity is present, but it's integrated naturally rather than dominating the narrative, so the show feels refreshingly non-woke in this regard.

Traditional religion and cult-like beliefs are a major theme, but the show treats these subjects with ambiguity rather than overt condemnation. Masculinity, family, and traditional values aren’t actively undermined. If anything, familial connections and loyalty are central. The handling of cultural foundations is comparatively grounded for modern TV.

While progressive worldviews exist in the background, dissenting perspectives aren’t outright mocked or villainized. Characters have their flaws, and the show isn’t preachy about ideology. There’s a bit of modern sensibility, but not enough to push ‘Archive 81’ into full echo chamber territory.
