This can feel like narrative sacrificed for messaging, with character skills and flaws sometimes glossed over in favor of their representation value.

The series frequently portrays traditional authority, family, and moral frameworks as relics of the past or outright threats. Gender roles are deliberately subverted or ignored, with masculinity often sidelined in favor of showcasing female or non-traditional characters as inherently virtuous.
