Characters are defined by their personalities (or lack thereof), not by checkbox demographics or amped-up virtue. Narrative is never compromised for ideology, in fact, narrative is barely even a priority!

The show’s humor often targets suburban malaise and pop culture stupidity, but it doesn't really attack traditional family, religion, or masculinity. If anything, its reckless adolescence borders on an over-the-top parody of aimless youth, no woke finger-wagging lessons here.
