Dawn of the Croods keeps its narrative refreshingly straightforward and focused on prehistoric slapstick and family antics. The show doesn't appear to shoehorn in ideological themes or force diversity for its own sake. Character development relies more on relatable quirks than modern identity politics, making it a relatively non-woke entry for younger audiences.

The series centers on a traditional family dynamic living in a fantastical stone-age setting.
