What We Think

“Devilman Crybaby” is more edgy than overtly woke, with both subversive and traditional elements. The show’s rawness and themes stray from typical “woke” formulas, but it certainly takes jabs at institutions and doesn’t shy away from modern sensibilities. Not a safe haven for non-woke viewers, but not in the upper echelon of ideological activism either.
