The series appears to prize quirky feminist spin and identity-driven humor over cohesive character development or logical plot progression. The leads are written as hyper-competent yet quirky women, overtly subverting traditional superhero tropes, with their gender foregrounded throughout. It seems less about telling a thrilling story and more about reimagining for modern sensibilities.

Traditional masculinity pretty much takes a back seat here, often being lampooned, and the narrative pushes a modern, empowerment-focused lens. The show avoids anything resembling classic gender roles, and the usual sense of heroism is thoroughly reworked for a post-modern, sassy paradigm. Family, religion, or traditional values are basically nonexistent.

Virtually every character lines up behind a single worldview: modern, urban, progressive, ironic. Any dissenters are cartoonish or simply the butt of jokes. There’s very little representation of non-woke perspectives or any meaty conflict around values, just one-way traffic with lots of snark.
