"Elves" focuses on fantasy horror involving a Danish family and local folklore. In our view, it does not appear to sacrifice its story in favor of ideological messaging. Characters seem motivated by family ties and survival, rather than tick-box identity politics. Forced representation is minimal, and character arcs develop naturally within the show's premise.

The show leans heavily on Nordic tradition, rural community, and folklore, with family dynamics central to the plot. Traditional values are not undermined, nor is religion or masculinity overtly ridiculed. Any critiques of cultural insularity seem incidental to the horror themes, not a soapbox for modern causes.
