In our view, this biopic about De André sticks closely to the musician's life and personal journey. Characters are cast for realism, not to tick off diversity boxes, and storytelling prioritizes authentic personality and history over modern identity politics. There's little sign of forced representation or characters being elevated purely for ideological reasons.

While the film touches on De André's critique of traditional society, religion, and family, this is rooted in his actual worldview and the Italian cultural landscape of the time. It doesn't appear to deliberately undermine cultural foundations for modern ideological reasons, but rather explores genuine historical tensions and individual rebellion.

The miniseries certainly highlights De André's anti-establishment and progressive ideas, but it doesn't present all traditional perspectives as outright villains. Alternative views, although shown as outdated, are still part of the cultural discussion and not cartoonishly mocked.
