The 1986 "Ghostbusters" animated series by Filmation focuses on lighthearted paranormal adventures with wacky characters and classic Saturday morning cartoon tropes. Its casting and storylines focus on character quirks over modern identity politics. There's a total lack of forced representation or modern ideological inserts. Frankly, the show is refreshingly old-school and unconcerned with the obsessions of modern Hollywood.

Traditional family values and hero dynamics remain intact. Male characters still act like, well, male characters without apology, and family/friendship are depicted positively. No subversion of gender roles, historical revisionism, or potshots at traditional mores here. Just corny 80s moral lessons and goofy supernatural villains every week.
