The show's central romance is a BL (boys' love) storyline, which seems designed to foreground LGBTQ+ representation above all else. The narrative leans heavily into identity-driven tropes, sometimes sidelining deeper character exploration for the sake of genre expectations and fan service. In our view, this could come at the expense of well-rounded storytelling.

Traditional Thai values regarding family, masculinity, and sexuality are often critiqued or simply brushed aside. The protagonists’ queer relationship is presented as aspirational and largely free from long-term realistic consequences, while traditional attitudes are gently mocked or downplayed.

Alternative perspectives toward family and sexuality are either absent or shown as antagonistic, conservative obstacles. There’s little real pluralism, most major characters quickly accept modern ideas about gender and identity, and dissenting views are rarely engaged beyond caricature.
