Luna Park focuses more on family secrets and personal drama than on hammering home identity politics. Characters are largely developed based on their personal backgrounds and circumstances, not shoehorned diversity checklists. Storytelling doesn’t appear sacrificed for modern ideological points. Some might find moments of modern sensibility, but it’s minor compared to contemporary shows.

The show explores traditional Italian values, family, and social class without going out of its way to bash religion, masculinity, or heritage. There’s occasional tension between old and new, but it doesn’t actively undermine cultural foundations. Traditional norms and roles are depicted with some complexity rather than simplistic finger-wagging.

Luna Park entertains a range of perspectives, with clashes between tradition and change. It doesn't present alternative worldviews only as villains, nor does it force all characters into ideological lockstep. There’s far more pluralism and debate than typical “woke” fare, making this refreshingly non-monolithic in its views.
