In our view, it keeps narrative integrity intact by presenting factual events, without overtly shoehorning identity politics or ideological representation into the story. There's little evidence of story being sacrificed for woke talking points.

While the documentary examines Russian power structures and touches on religion and nationalism, it generally avoids openly critiquing traditional family, religion, or masculinity. The show’s Western lens may have subtle biases, but these are not overtly 'woke' in the sense of undermining cultural traditions.

There is a clear Western liberal perspective in the framing and selected interviews, and dissenting views from within Russia are not given much prominence. Still, this tilt is more about geopolitics than woke ideology per se.
