'RADIANT' largely sticks to classic shonen storytelling, focusing on the protagonist's journey and character development rather than emphasizing identity politics. Diverse characters do appear, but their backgrounds don’t overshadow the narrative, and merit typically determines ability. It’s refreshingly merit-based in a genre overrun by artificial diversity quotas.
