What We Think

Smosh is about as non-woke as you can get in early internet comedy. Nothing here screams forced representation or ideological uniformity; just two guys making silly skits with no agenda beyond entertainment. It’s refreshingly unbothered by modern identity battles.

Smosh in its original form focused almost entirely on irreverent comedy, absurd scenarios, and parody rather than identity politics. Characters were cast based on comedic fit, not diversity checkboxes. Narrative was never sacrificed for ideology, as there was barely a committed narrative at all, just sketches for laughs.

There was little to no emphasis on mocking or undermining religion, family, masculinity, or tradition. The humor poked fun at everything and everyone but never with a pointed ideological agenda. Cultural bedrock themes basically went untouched here.

What is this?

No ideological message or monoculture to worry about, if anything, Smosh parodied everything, including itself. Dissent and traditional perspectives were either ignored or harmlessly lampooned, not villainized. It’s as apolitical as sketch comedy gets from that era.
