In Suits LA, identity traits take center stage: multiple characters are cast for diversity first, often regardless of realism for elite legal circles, and plotlines frequently revolve around social issues. At times, character depth and narrative logic seem secondary to ticking the inclusion boxes, with some characters portrayed as almost unimpeachable and hyper-competent.

The show has a noticeable bent toward subverting traditional masculinity and family structures. Themes such as the irrelevance of old-school values or the foibles of traditional authority figures are recurring, with few sympathetic nods to cultural or religious foundations.

Nearly all the characters share the same modern social views, there’s little internal debate or genuine representation of counterpoints. Traditionalist perspectives appear mainly as caricatures or obstacles to be overcome, reinforcing a sense of ideological echo chamber.
