“Teletubbies” is a surreal children’s show focused on simple, playful interactions and colorful visuals. It doesn’t push identity politics or emphasize race, gender, or sexuality over character or story, mainly because it barely has plot or characterization at all. Narrative integrity is maintained (well, as much as possible with babbling, amorphous creatures).

The show sidesteps religion, family, or traditional morality altogether, offering a sort of value-neutral landscape. No subversion, but also no reinforcement. Some may find the lack of any cultural grounding a bit wishy-washy, but with no attacks on traditions, the score stays low.

“Teletubbies” is ideologically neutral. There’s no promotion or mocking of any worldview, unless you count the sun baby’s perpetual cheeriness as an ideology. No caricatures or moral lectures, just oddity for toddlers.
