What We Think
"The Upshaws" leans into modern progressive themes, particularly around family and gender, but doesn’t entirely abandon traditional sitcom character flaws, humor, or family values. It walks a line, sometimes snarky, sometimes sincere, making it moderately woke but not as heavy-handed as some contemporary examples.
