What We Think

Rebecca (2020) is about as non-woke as modern adaptations get, no identity preaching, little tampering with the source material, and no heavy-handed modern moralizing. It’s a rare example of a classic retelling done mostly straight. If only Hollywood would stick to this approach more often!
