While "Last Night in Soho" centers on female experiences and features a diverse supporting cast, the film primarily focuses on character-driven developments and psychological horror. It doesn’t push identity over the demands of the story. Forced representation and flawless diverse characters aren’t really present, characters are flawed and human.

The film leans into feminist themes, casting a critical eye on historical gender roles and misogyny, especially toward young women in London. That said, it doesn't take a sledgehammer to tradition, much of its commentary is contextual and period-specific rather than a blanket condemnation of family, religion, or masculinity.

While traditional perspectives on gender are challenged, the film shows nuance, depicting both female vulnerability and agency as well as the dangers posed by predatory men. Dissenting perspectives aren't outright mocked or caricatured, but the ideological lens is modern and largely unchallenged by alternative views.
